Kitchen Assistant

The potential candidate will assist the cook in providing a high quality standard of catering in the building and take direction from the Cook in assisting in ensuring the health and safety in the kitchen.

Responsibilities include:

• Health and Safety in the kitchen including food hygiene
• To assist with the preparation and cooking of food, serving of meals
• Assist in planning and maintaining of menus
• Keeping the kitchen and associated areas thoroughly clean and hygienic
• Correct storage of food.

The potential candidate must have basic knowledge of diets and menu planning, along with food hygiene.
